Custom diecast builders and diorama artists take the spotlight at PDX 2026 on November 14–15 at SMX Convention Center Manila
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 (PDX) is expanding its celebration of automotive and collector culture with the launch of the Midnight Garage Custom Culture Showcase: Custom Diecast & Diorama Exhibit, happening on November 14–15, 2026, at SMX Convention Center Manila.
Presented by Philippine Diecast Expo and Midnight Garage, supported by R29 Custom, and event-managed by Exlinkevents, the showcase will provide a dedicated platform for custom diecast builders and diorama creators to display their work before the Philippine collecting community.
Where Diecast Collecting Meets Custom Car Culture
Diecast collecting goes beyond acquiring scale-model cars.
For many enthusiasts, the hobby has evolved into a creative culture where collectors repaint cars, modify wheels, fabricate body parts, create liveries, weather vehicles, and build detailed environments inspired by garages, racetracks, streets, workshops, and automotive scenes.
The Midnight Garage Custom Culture Showcase brings this creative side of the hobby into the spotlight at the Philippine Diecast Expo 2026.
Unlike a traditional competition, the showcase is designed primarily as an exhibition of craftsmanship, creativity, and automotive expression.
Customizers can present their builds not simply to win an award, but to share their work, meet fellow creators, exchange ideas, and inspire other collectors.
Celebrating the Artists Behind Custom Diecast
At the heart of the exhibit are the builders themselves.
A standard diecast model can become an entirely different creation through imagination and craftsmanship. Likewise, a diorama can transform a scale-model car into a scene that tells a story.
Visitors can expect to discover custom diecast cars, detailed automotive dioramas, miniature garages, modified builds, and other creative interpretations of car culture in scale.
The collaboration with Midnight Garage strengthens PDX’s goal of bringing different segments of automotive and collector culture together under one event.
From collectors hunting for their next model to customizers creating one-of-a-kind builds, PDX aims to provide a common ground for the community.
Philippine Diecast Expo: Cars, Culture & Lifestyle
The Philippine Diecast Expo 2026 is positioning itself as more than a marketplace for collectible cars.
Under its “Cars, Culture & Lifestyle” platform, PDX brings together diecast collecting, automotive culture, customization, motorsports-inspired activities, creative communities, and lifestyle experiences.
The addition of the Midnight Garage Custom Culture Showcase reinforces this direction by giving custom diecast and diorama culture a visible space within the expo.
For visitors, it is an opportunity to see what happens when collecting meets creativity.
For builders, it is a platform to put their craftsmanship in front of fellow enthusiasts and the wider automotive community.
And for the Philippine diecast scene, it is another step toward recognizing custom diecast building and diorama making as important expressions of contemporary collector culture.
